So, here it is. This is the first post on the blog that will see me – hopefully – all the way around the world! Do you like it? I like it.
I’m going to be writing stuff here as I go. They’ve got WiFi everywhere these days, and I have an extremely portable little laptop that I’m taking with me. Hopefully these things will allow me to keep you entertained, at least for a little while.
I don’t want this blog to be one of these ‘then I got on the train. Then I got off the train. Then I had a burger. Then I saw a big cathedral. Then I stopped for a coffee. Then I went for a walk up some streets’, etc. I don’t want to commentate on things you can’t see. Rather, I’m going to try and pick out a few choice experiences and write a little bit about them, hoping this will be a better way of keeping your attention.
And I’m going to keep posts fairly short. Let ‘little and often’ be the name of the game. I do have a propensity to write long, winding, cerebral posts. They’d be really interesting, I’m sure, and my Mum would just love them. But frankly, they’d bore the tits off anyone who is only half connected with what I’m doing. Or even completely unconnected.
And thus, in the spirit of brevity blogging, I shall end this first post after the proceeding three little dots…
